Kate has lived in upstate NY, Boston, Virginia, London, Stratford-upon-Avon, and California. No matter where her feet travel, her greatest desire is to make others come one step closer to their dreams made manifest.
Kate lives in Los Angeles. At age 13, she was selected in a national competition to join a teen publication’s editorial team. Her writing career began early. By age 19, she was writing and editing for a Next Step Magazine, now Next Step Universe. She followed this up with PR and marketing work in Rochester, NY and Boston, MA, for arts-related nonprofits and high-profile business clients.
She’s also a Shakespearean scholar, teacher, actress and artist. Her first master’s on Ophelia, music and art from the University of Rochester with Eastman School of Music led to an English literature graduate fellowship at Harvard University. After teaching several years at both colleges and high school, the English-Speaking Union selected Kate as one of 18 teachers nationally awarded to study at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. Then came the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts for Shakespeare, Classical Acting, and Movement intensive studies.
Most recently, Kate was one of two USA Postgraduate Scholars at the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, UK. She completed her second MA in Shakespeare & Creativity, working, at times, in partnership with Royal Shakespeare Theatre practitioners. Her thesis, “Songlessness of the Lady: Music of the Spheres and Macbeth” received high marks, leading to graduation with distinction.
She’s traveled the globe to find that, not only is “all the world’s a stage,” but a place full of expression. Kate’s copy keys into the essence of your message, with your tone, goals and vision in mind. And, she gets it done. Period. For your bottom line.
